Abstract :
The extent to which color displays have penetrated the public arena is evidenced by the fact that there are now more than 110 million color television receivers in use throughout the world. The public investment in these receivers has reached $50 billion, a figure exceeded in consumer durable goods only by the investment in automobiles.
