Abstract
An overconstrained version of the method of moments (MoM) for SAR (specific absorption rate) evaluation in biological bodies is presented. A number of testing functions larger than the number of basis functions is used in order to better constrain the solution near corners and edges. A rectangular system is obtained and solved by means of a pseudoinversion algorithm. Comparisons with results reported in the literature show an enhancement of MoM capabilities in SAR calculations, without a consistent increase in computational requirements
