Abstract :
Recent developments in high performance electron guns for color Tv include a high focus voltage bipotential design -commonly called "hi bi" -designed primarily for 29-mm neck, inline applications. The improved spot size capability of this design, together with its simplicity and cost effectiveness for the set maker, make this system a strong contender for color applications up to at least 19V diagonal sizes.
