Abstract :
Together with very fast dividers and a PLL system it is possible to digitally process the oscillator frequencies of a TV tuner. With this method you can set up a tuning system which remembers a once programmed channel with a resolution that was up till now reserved only for costly and highly professional equipment. The control commands for this system are derived from an infrared remote control that links to the tuning system.
