Abstract :
A new series of experiments, using a standing-wave method of measurement as well as a repetition of the previous resonant-cavity work, endorses the conclusion that a significant reduction of attenuation is possible, when the inner conductor of a coaxial cable is coated with a dielectric of higher permittivity than that of the surrounding medium, between the two conductors.
