Abstract :
A method for the design of multidimensional ellipsoidally and spherically symmetric recursive digital filters using one-dimensional analogue filters is presented. The number of coefficients required to be optimised is very much reduced and the stability of the resultant filter can be guaranteed. This method is suitable for the design of moderately precise digital filters.
