Abstract :
The paper is concerned with the representation of transmission circuits used in the evaluation of transient phenomena in power-system networks. The paper proposes general criteria for selecting the number of equivalent `T¿¿ or `¿¿¿¿ sections that are required to fully represent the circuit over the range of frequency of interest. Emphasis is placed on both the accuracy of representation and economical computation.
