Abstract :
A FASTBUS Master primarily intended for the development, testing, and mantainance of FASTBUS modules and systems as well as the development of small data acquisition systems at low cost and size has been implemented. The single wide Module consists of a SLAC FASTBUS Controller coupled with a MC68000 based Multibus SBC. It has been interfaced to both a terminal and an IBM PC. With the use of the IBM PC, high level languages can be used to perform FASTBUS operations and access data on FASTBUS. The various hardware and software configurations will be discussed, and performance specifications will be given.
