  • Abstract
    Some preliminary results are reported for an analytic theory of high-efficiency microwave oscillations in gallium-arsenide avalanche diodes. Design and performance criteria are deduced for p+¿n¿n+ and n+¿p¿p+ structures, and a comparison is made with experimental work.
