            Abstract :
The author shows how some adaptive polarisation techniques can achieve a good suppression of intentional polarised noise by examining several closed-loop cancellers. In particular, a novel adaptive polarisation device, called a multinotch polarisation canceller (MLP-SAPC), is proposed and compared with a single-notch polarisation device (SAPC). The performances of these devices are evaluated through their operation when processing a limited set of experimental data, acquired by means of an ATC-R radar system capable of dual polarisation reception. The results obtained indicate that better target-to-jamming ratio improvements are achieved when MTI-preprocessing is carried out on the signals at the input of the diversity polarisation devices and when the multinotch polarisation adaptive canceller is used instead of the single-notch model
