Abstract :
This paper proposes a new method for the transient analysis of electric power systems. This method combines the advantages of Dommel´s nodal analysis-based compensation method with those of the state variable approach but it efficiently avoids their disadvantages. Electric networks, including nonlinear devices, are taken as examples to demonstrate the feasibility of this method
