Abstract
A study is made of the conditions under which a surface wave may exist in a ferrite which is separated from a perfect conductor by a thin layer of a different ferrite. It is found that the properties of the thin layer have a pronounced effect on the form of the wave, even when the thickness is allowed to shrink to zero and the surface wave becomes degenerate.
