Abstract :
A novel approach to characterizing and measuring the static and dynamic nonlinear properties of a microwave mixer is described. It is based on the use of generalized Volterra series. Its modeling capabilities are confirmed by simulation results for nonlinear microwave devices, as well as by measurements. A new measurement setup has been developed. It uses a sampling oscilloscope and yields both the amplitude and phase of the different spectral components of the measured signal.<>
