Abstract :
The adaptive reservation protocol, referred to as ATP-2, uses two frequency separated subchannels, the request and information subchannels, for the request and information packets. The nature of the accessing algorithms for these two subchannels characterizes the overall ATP-2 protocol quality. Extended ATP-2 performance results are presented and a comparison is made between the ATP-2 and some other well-known multiple-access protocols
