Abstract :
In order to model in 3D electromagnetic devices, some formulations can be used according to the problem. Generally the formulations in terms of potential present some advantages and can be used in many applications Different formulations used to model electromagnetic systems in terms of potentials are studied and compared. We consider electric formulation A-φ, magnetic formulation T-Ω and hybrid formulation A-Ω which is obtained by combining boundary conditions. The coupling with electric circuit equations is taken into account and developed. To compare these different formulations, three examples are studied and the results discussed
