Television Transient Response Computations Using A New Simulation Program

Quantitative analysis of the time-domain response of vestigial sideband television has not been possible through mathematical modeling, since no closed form solution for such a system is known to exist. Experimentation with physical systems is cumbersome and time consuming and generally does not permit accurate evaluation of the effect of individual parameter variations. This paper describes modeling by a new computer program, which does permit quantitative analysis of the time-domain response, of a vestigial sideband television system with a high degree of accuracy.
