Abstract :
Preliminary measurements of parameters of lithium germanate which are relevant to acoustic-surface-wave devices are presented. The material is cheap to produce compared with some other substrates and its electromechanical coupling factor is moderate (¿10%). The major fault is a lack of resistance to water.
