Abstract :
Rectifying I/V characteristics were observed for a thin-metal-film structure made of gold, aluminium and silver vacuum-deposited layers. Also discontinuities were found in the slope resistance of these films. The structure of the devices is described, and typical I/V and slope-resistance characteristics are presented.
