Abstract :
The output of a zero-memory nonlinear system can often be considered as the algebraic sum of internal signals corresponding to the actions of separate components of the non-linearity described by a power series. A numerical procedure for determining these signals from recorded outputs is suggested, and their significance to the system identification is indicated.
