Abstract :
A new technique is proposed for carrying out amplitude modulation/demodulation. The scheme is power efficient in that it does not require the transmission of a separate carrier. Receiver complexity is limited in that phase locking circuitry is not employed. Performance is evaluated and shown to be better than that of Double Side-Band (envelope detection) for the broadcast transmission of speech.
