Abstract :
An optimum quadratic spectrum for the complex BIFORE transform, which is invariant to cyclic shift of the time series, is developed. The squared terms in this spectrum possess sequency resolution. The quadratic spectrum yields a better approximation to the d.f.t.energy spectrum compared with the sequency spectrum.
