Abstract
Experimental observations of nonlinear interactions in photo-conducting CdS are reported for oppositely travelling 17 MHz surface acoustic waves. The results for acoustic convolution and 2nd-harmonic generation indicate that the piezoelectric electron¿phonon interaction may have important application to nonlinear signal-processing techniques employing surface waves.
