  • Abstract
    Measurements on a capillary-fed colloid thruster with a Zener-diode-like voltage/current (V/I) characteristic are reported. The propellant mass-flow rate m was practically constant over the entire operating range of the current I. A consideration of the V/I and m/I characteristics enables thruster performance to be gauged in a straightforward way.
