Abstract :
The paper presents a method of determination of the characteristic impedance of nonplanar striplines by a conformal mapping technique. The numerical values of the characteristic impedance are determined for nonplanar striplines having their cross-sections in the shape of confocal ellipses, concentric cylinders and confocal hyperbolas. The analysis reveals the effect of the warpage due to environmental changes on a planar structure.
