Negative-resistance switching effect in polycrystalline ceramic yttrium-iron-garnet

A current-controlled negative-resistance effect has been observed in sintered polycrystalline yttrium-iron-garnet (y.i.g.) ceramics. There are some differences between the switching behaviour of these materials and the switching behaviour of single-crystal y.i.g., which has been described previously by other workers.
