Abstract :
A parameter is defined that distinguishes the members of the set {WAL(s,m)} of Walsh functions. There is a one-to-one correspondence between sequency and axis symmetry of each Walsh function. Axis symmetry is derived from the sequency number. A procedure is introduced for obtaining the period of a Walsh function from its sequency number.
