Abstract :
A calculation method for obtaining characteristic impedances and phase velocities of striplines, which are regarded as consisting of distributed-lumped elements such as so-called wiggly lines, is presented with numerical results. The numerical calculations have been carried out for a) single stripline with slots at the outer edges, b) coupled stripline with rectangular wiggling, and c) coupled stripline with slots at the outer edges. Experimental work has also been accomplished to verify the present method. Results show good agreement with calculations.
