Abstract :
Widespread use of resistively terminated LC ladder prototypes reflects their excellent passband magnitude sensitivity, although it is known that this is exceeded by the phase sensitivity. In the paper, a bound is derived for the ratio of the magnitude and phase sensitivity, which leads to a quantitative assessment of the relative contributions of component tolerance and parasitic loss in response deviation from the nominal filter characteristic.
