Abstract :
The development of a completely digital power system multiprocessor transient network analyzer (TNA) is reported. Generators, loads, transformers and power lines are represented by simple linear electrical equivalents. Results are reported for both single-phase and three-phase networks. Electromagnetic transient phenomena can be modeled with available digital technology to a detail of about 100 μs, corresponding to frequencies below about 5 kHz
