Abstract :
The Bruton transform method for realising active-RC filters based on passive-LCR ladder prototypes has become widely accepted as an effective means of obtaining low-sensitivity structures. Following a review of the method and of special techniques for obtaining economical filters in respect of component count, guidelines are presented for the design of optimised filters in this class and compensation for active device degeneracies is discussed.
