Abstract :
This letter describes a new logarithmic-addition bipolar analogue multiplier possessing an inherently high accuracy (0.35%) and a tolerance of moderate device betas without requiring an operational amplifier. The single-ended design precludes the need for complex driving circuitry. Single-and 4-quadrant operations are discussed and experimental results are presented.
