Abstract :
The goal of our paper was to demonstrate how loop circuits can be arranged in a novel fashion to provide required epsiv and mu for an antenna operation. As mentioned previously, the antenna is printed on embedded-loop circuits located inside host dielectric material, and the finite difference time domain (FDTD) is applied successfully to the complex structure to present antenna resonant frequency around the region that the substrate offers. In summary, the comments of Ikonen et al. (2007) about the effect of permeability dispersion on antenna input impedance is well understood and we have also highlighted this in our original paper. However, they misunderstand our simulation, which takes into account all the couplings and nonuniform eld distributions below the patch, and reality in matching to below - 10 dB, etc.
