Abstract
Recent television receivers have improved very much in many points and have become able to produce fairly good pictures. However, the stability of tint and color saturation depending on transmission distortion are still a problem to be solved. In order to have improvement in this area, FCC has approved the broadcasting of Vertical Interval Reference (VIR) Signal in 1974.
