Abstract :
The detection errors of a digital crosscorrelator, utilising severely clipped, bandlimited Gaussian waveforms are investigated, and the probability distribution of the correlator output due to finite-duration waveforms and distortion by wideband Gaussian noise is derived and compared with experimental results.
