Abstract :
A previous letter by Davies et al. has described the methods of preparing microwave encapsulations using a glass-ceramic/copper encapsulation. Various configurations have been evaluated over the frequency band 26¿40 GHz with c.w. Gunn oscillators. Results show that frequency saturation effects due to encapsulation parasitics can be avoided by the use of glass-ceramic encapsulations of suitable geometry.
