Synthesis of Lagrangian nonenergic networks

A proof is outlined for the conjecture that the introduction of one type of third degree traditor; i.e., a Lagrangian nonenergic device, in addition to a gyrator, is sufficient to synthesize the entire class of traditors. An nth degree traditor would have 2ⁿpossible Lagrangians in 2n basic types.
