Abstract :
Broad microwave emission spectra have been reported when round-trip gain exists for electromagnetic waves within the cavity formed by a specimen´s boundaries. In this letter, we describe observations which demonstrate that the intrinsic linewidth is in fact very small, but that the emission frequency is highly electric-field dependent.
