Abstract :
It is the trend of the times that the radio receiver is smaller and thinner with the improvement of performance and operation. The radio receiver technology is now being innovated in two points due to the appearance of the thin radio receiver. Firstly, it is the introduction of all kinds of LSI into the radio receiver. Especially, LSI of a tuning circuit using a frequency synthesizer, which operates with a microcomputer etc, contributes to a still more improvement of operation as well as performance. Secondly, it is the movement that all kinds of components which are used in the radio receiver are changing into a small and thin type, which further requires a new mounting technology.
