Abstract
PREVENT, an interactive, menu-driven program that allows overall reliability and availability of a system configuration to be calculated easily and quickly, is described. This program features two methods for determining the reliability characteristics of systems: network reduction and minimal cut set techniques. These methods are discussed, and a short example shows the use of the network methods.<>
