Abstract :
The North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) requests that utilities collect area control error (ACE) information and report each month their performance in meeting the control performance criteria (CPC) set by NERC. NERC has also requested that utilities store data on diskettes for analysis and development of new criteria to reflect more accurately the performance of the control area. The integration of the equipment used to collect and store the required data and the software necessary for automation of the data gathering and analysis are discussed.<>
