            Abstract : 
The reflection coefficient at the feed of a paraboloidal reflector antenna covered with a paraboloidal radome is evaluated by the power-coupling theorem. An asymptotic value of the reflection-coefficient expression leads to a simple physics interpretation of the result. The asymptotic value is favourably compared with that obtained by numerical integration. A comparsion between theoretical and experimental results is given in a companion paper.
