Abstract :
A new technique for imaging by observation of scattered waves is introduced. Wave propagation and scattering are numerically modelled in the time domain, and full waveform information is used. Spatial variation of the objects´ physical properties is parameterised, and the parameters are determined by reiterating the modelling with parameter changes given by optimisation techniques. In the paper the various parts of the theory are assembled, and results are given for cases small in parameter number and bandwidth.
