Abstract :
Telidon, the Canadian videotex standard, is now a familiar concept, and its operation in the interactive mode via the switched telephone network has been well documented. This paper presents the transmission format used for Telidon data carried as an ancillary signal on broadcast television channels. We shall first review some of the essential characteristics of Telidon, and then show that these are preserved in the broadcast situation.
