Abstract
The United Kingdom (UK) Teletext System has now been in service in the UK f or four years. It is also being transmitted on a regular basis in more than six European countries and Australia. Experience has confirmed the soundness of the original system design concept which has lead to television sets equipped with decoders from a number of sources. These combine economy, ease of use, and rugged system performance. The small added cost for installing the teletext decoder has been one of the most important factors in establishing the service in Britain.
