Abstract :
Recent polarisation-diversity applications have stimulated interest in the crosspolar performance of reflector antennas. Depolarisation effects in front-fed, hyperbola/parabola and shaped-profile Cassegrainian reflectors are compared. Under certain conditions, a front-fed design is found to have superior polarisation properties.
