Abstract :
The piezoelectric coupling parameter Δν/ν has been determined at 100 MHz by measuring the change in velocity for a metallised interface in a CdSe-on-yz-cut-LiNbO3 structure. An initial increase of Δν/ν from 2.5x10--2 at kh = 0 to 2.9x10--2 at a normalised layer thickness kh¿0.5 has been observed, in agreement with theory.
