Abstract :
The letter describes a symbol set which is well suited to multiregenerated digital transmission. Highly redundant timing makes practicable a previously developed method of low-frequency phase-noise suppression. A 100 Mbit/s experimental self-timed regenerator has been implemented, and some experimental results are presented.
