Abstract :
The clutter-cancellation limitation of an m.t.i. signal processor which is due to oscillator instability, has been analysed by modelling the oscillator as a narrowband random process. The analysis predicts that the clutter cancellation will almost independent of range. This contrasts with the results of other analyses that model the oscillator´s nonsinusoidal behaviour as a frequency change between transmitted pulses. These predict a range-dependent clutter cancellation.
