Abstract :
A conducting sphere on the center of the broad wall of a rectangular waveguide causes frequency independent reflections for a wide range of frequencies. This empirically found behavior is confirmed analytically here by perturbational calculations. Furthermore experimental and analytical resufts are given for a sphere located in the middle of the waveguide cross section.
