Abstract :
The approximation of attenuation specifications by transfer functions, in which the pole-Qs are upper bounded, is investigated. Some examples compare the capabilities of this method with previous different approaches for the realisation of filters, implemented by a cascade of low-pole-Q (2nd-order and/or 3rd-order) blocks.
